Hey there! Well congratulations on finishing! Wow, that was fast; I thought you just started! You must be in the excelled course! ha ha. I'm at Whateverlife.com now, and Iconator. And very, very happy. The sites look "great", are popular (Whateverlife is one of the top sites with a solid reputation), and they don't call what I submit "tacky" or tell me it took 2 minutes. You just put your stuff up (icons,avatars,layouts), if people like it they "use" it. Simple as that. ha ha:D

Hey,chica! Long time no talk! Glad all is well. Sorry that happened with Iconator. I never got any pop ups, but I'm on Google Chrome and I have some type of protection with this- a plug in I guess. ha ha!

You've been designing graphics longer than I have so you probably already know about this site, but I just stumbled onto Iconator the other day. I'm going to join. It looks like fun. They only make icons I think.

I know what it is: You know, when Manny rejects my stuff (and a LOT of it is crap and 'should' be rejected. That's understandable), sometimes she'll tell me she doesn't like it, or that she can't imagine anyone using the graphic, ect. Once she told me to get back into my animation and said she really liked my animation. It made me feel like I wanted to 'improve' my animation skills (I've just started doing animation with my fist graphic-the Blood Typing graphic). Her words, whatever they may be, make me want to do better.

But when I hear from Christy, it makes me sit back and wonder why I'm doing this. It makes me sit back and wonder why I work for hours on various graphics only to wait a month to be told it was 'put together in 2 minutes'. I question my sanity after hearing from her. Am I 'sane'?? What's the pay off in this? To have my stuff on a website that people aren't really looking at anymore? How many people look at these graphics per day: 6? 7? Maybe 8 on a good day. I've been paying attention and watching to see how many views the graphics/layouts are getting on this site. O-O

Number 2 is that I really thought about what drew my personal attention to CB in the first place and it was layouts like the "toilet paper" layout I saw, the Allen Ginsberg, the far out stuff/ad-vanguard, artsy free-hand stuff I'd never seen on any other site. But I looked back over those layouts and they were all from '07,'08, and some from'09. Those artsy days are over IMO because I haven't seen ANY free-hand drawings on layouts like b4, or wacky, unusual stuff. It's just my opinion. Maybe I'm imagining things. I also don't think that even 'half' of those layouts would make it past the submissions process today because those layouts didn't have the 'brushes' and stuff on them...just free-hand. Do u kow what I mean?

For me, those are more than just layouts...that's 'art'. Artistic expression explored through a 'layout' medium.

I know it's all a matter of opinion. And the Jonas layout is fine. It looks nice, professional...but it's not artsy. Just a regular layout u can find on 'any' site that makes layouts. Sorry I'm talking so much about this but the art in layouts excites me so much. But anyway, that's what I'm seeing more and more of: what you find on any other site, except that those other sites have more interesting layouts of Jonas.

I tried to do something different with Twilight. I really tried. This is the rejected graphic (because it was too busy):

Maybe it was (even though it's supposed to be a 'collage'). ha ha. It's not the best graphic, I know. Just trying to do something a bit different with Twilight. I'm not upset. But I won't spend anymore 'hours' trying to do things like that. Hey, if I'm going to be accused of putting things together in 'two minutes' then that's exactly what they're going to get from me: something put together in 2 minutes. They can reject it and no real skin off my nose because I won't have invested any real time in it. I have nothing to lose from submitting, but I'm not losing real time in this anymore. Just...a 'few minutes'. Ha ha ha. xoxo

Hi! I need to ask your opinion about something. It's about graphics and stuff. Listen, Christy & Tokyo-Rose reject everything I do. Jyoing (I don't kow how to spell her name) accepted one banner I did (The Vampire Diaries), and Manny-the-Dino is the one that 'approved' the 8 out of 9 graphics that I have under 'submissions'. If the others had been reviewing, I would have nothing at all under 'submissions'.

I did a Twilight banner that I felt was some of my best work, and an icon that I also felt was some of my best work and they were both rejected. I think if they didn't accept those items then they're not going to accept any of my other stuff either. Now, I have 17 graphics and 6 layouts pending, and I think all of them will be rejected. I had confidence before that 'some' of my stuff might have a chance but after today, if anyone other than Manny is reviewing , they will all be rejected. I'm 100% sure.

Anyway, my question is do you think I should just delete them? I feel confident all of them will be rejected anyway but at least I don't have to get any messages about it. What do you think? Hit me back?

Me,too:doing it mainly for myself. And it feels good:] I'm not going to 'keep' beating a dead horse but I'm just in AWWW of how dead this really 'is' o.O . I've been reading stuff from the forums -old and new- and an Admin here posted something, I think, about adding some new features or something. Makes no sense to worry about new features when the regular features need much attention. On the forums some guy who said he was 19 & a web designer, said he wanted to purchase CB. Said he had half a million dollars and wanted to 'make some changes' around here. He said CB hasn't been spruced up in two years. Like he said the layout hasn't been changed at all. the forums are an interesting place to learn on CB.

No, you're being humble again. You know your icons are Awesome, so stop it:DDD. Ha ha ha!
But just promise not to laugh at me when I make my new attempts at icon-making. I won't be submitting icons until they review what I have. Maybe a review will be a Christmas present from CB to me for my good behavior:D Just kidding.

About the daily page views and $0 net worth, I didn't want to laugh (even though I'm laughing even while I'm writing 'this') because I'm on here delivering icons and stuff (ALL of us are), and for what? It's funny:D

I'm still smiling at that...but I think I believe it about the 15 page views because....when I look at the icons in the morning, for example, it might say "3 pg. views" & then if I see them again at night before I go to bed, the views have escalated to 6 pg. views per icon :O! Ha ha ha!

Awww, thank you for the nice comment, but now that I look at it, I can see the brushes too clearly, ect. I'm going to be looking at tutorials to improve the appearance of my icons. Maybe one day they can look as professional as yours:] xoxo

Really? You left for Facebook? I went over there,too, for a hot minute but for some reason the blue and white and the setup didn't really agree with me. Idk. But I totally understand why people go there. I mean, to each his own; I like the idea of Facebook for sure, just like I like the idea of Myspace. I also checked out Tumblr today to see the layouts there had. I see they make their own and they look good. I think the crowd there is more like, business people and professionals-suits, maybe? There's also this place I stumbled onto the other day called Charmroyal.com and the site looked really amazing. Of course you see like the same types of layouts you see on like myspaceGeeks.com and the other sites geared towards the young set, but CharmRoyal looked a bit different. Have you seen it?

You know, it's weird (in a good way) that Createblog looks so much different than the stuff you see on the rest of these sites. It's like they seem to have mostly, the same 'theme' going on, even though those sites look really good.

I can't find another place like Createblog- I mean, with the 'look' that CB is generating with it's materials. Ooooh, but I have to TELL you something. I'm going to PM you right now about it. It's not BAD, it's just....it's an 'observation'.
