Oh wow, thank you so much. You really know how to make a person feel good. Ha ha:]

But on another note: SAUSAGE ROLLS? Idk WHAT those are. And "beans"? I get so much gas if I eat those. Gah! I mean they taste great but the results can be devastating for anyone within a mile. Ha ha:)

That's mainly what I do too, I make graphics and stuff to please MYSELF & nobody else :)
I think you will go far, because you are determined (from what I've seen/heard from you), you're not afraid to get your stuff 'out there' and you're original. A lot of people look for originality, you got it all! :)

Last night for dinner I had - sausage rolls & beans with chips (fries). Lol!
Odd combination to some but I love it ;)
I don't really like chicken, I've been told I have a weird taste in food haha.

What you said really means a lot. I can't believe it. It's funny because when I look at what seems like 'everyone else's' work, I feel like my skills at drawing are just terrible (Which they are...and I know that). But everyone's stuff looks so professional...and mine? Well, whatever. Ha ha.

But you know , I used to know this 80 year old man about 5 years ago in an apartment complex I lived in and he showed me the things he did in his spare time like little drawings and such.

The drawings were NOT good at all, and I think he knew that but he kept doing it anyway because he 'liked' doing it. So when I came here, I felt the same way. I thought: I'm not good, but I LIKE doing this. Ha ha. That's all that matters to me really.

You said I would 'go far'? Ah ha, well, Idk what the future holds but I'm enjoying myself and that's the truth:DDD And thank you so much for saying all of these nice, nice things.

So on another note, what are you having for dinner tonight? Guess what I'm having? CHICKEN AGAIN. I love it! I just have a taste for it and it tastes so good. Wow.

I made them one after the other, in just one day haha.
I sound like I have no social life at all, oops.
Yeah, although I do think that a lot of the ones I submitted aren't good enough to be accepted, so maybe one or two go through. We'll see :)
& thankyou, it really means a lot, I think yours are amazing tbh.
The things you come up with are so unique, I have a feeling you can go far :)

WOW, that is a LOT of graphics:} You've been very busy, little lady! But you said something like, you had like 30 graphics so 'one' or 'two' might make it in?? Ha ha ha! That made me laugh! The submissions process isn't THAT rigorous! If you turn in 30, for example, at least HALF will probably be accepted. You said 2 or 3...come on:DDD Ha ha. Anyway your graphics are GREAT! You know how to use brushes very well, ect. so your icons, ect. look professional. xoxo

I'm looking forward to seeing these layouts!!
I was like that at one point, I still have some layout images that I was too busy to code from like last year, or year before! haha.

Oh I am... haha, I submitted 22 graphics today O.o oopsies.
I think maybe one will get through... but ones better that none :)

Hey, girl! Damn this page is getting LONG:DD I'm doing up a quick Frida Kahlo period layout. I think I want to try to do a layout at least everyday, if I can. This one is simple and I should be done in about an hour. Going to grab some chicken and come back. I'm so hungry right now. Gah!

You know, everyday I tell myself 'no more layouts for now', and everyday I end up coming up with an idea for a new one. It's like an addiction. Yes! That's what it is! I get too much pleasure from seeing the image laid out on the page and then coding it, brining it to life. Wow, I'm ashamed.

What about you? Addicted to making graphics yet? ha ha.

There's no harm in looking :)
I think a lot of people learn from looking at other peoples, I know that when I needed help for scrollbars and such, I looked at other peoples layouts and seen what kind of code was needed, and tried myself and voila - it worked! :)

What layouts are you making / coding?

Posted by SlowDanceForever on Aug 31, 10 11:17 am

I understand what you mean :/ When I first came (2 short months ago) I felt SOOOOO nervous about asking people for help. I had to look at their codes in order to see how coding went into the layout but everybody kept writing (under their posted lyts): DO NOT STEAL MY CODE. Idk how someone can'own' a code. Maybe they just meant, 'Don't Steal My Lyt'. So I felt guilty to 'look' at their cosing to learn.

It was kind of a bad time. Does that make sense OO? Ha ha!

I remember when I first started doing normal layouts for MySpace and stuff - I had to keep asking people certain codes and stuff and they all responded very well, which is quite fortunate otherwise I still probably wouldn't know to this day haha.
& then when I moved onto DIV layouts, one of my friends sent me a tutorial kind of thing about the coding - it's very basic and simple but so helpful!

I'm not sure I've ever seen anything with Jeffrey Combs in to be honest, I just had a quick look at his IMBD and from the looks of it, probably only I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, or a CSI episode haha.
I love Ken Foree and Sid Haig! They're so creepy in the movies they star in, I love it!

Awww, you're so sweet:] Same thing over here; keeping busy. I've really been trying to produce more layouts really, because I feel like the more I do, the better I'll become at doing them, so that's been kind of a priority for me lately. I've decided to take web design for college so this is helping me ten-fold:)

Let me ask you something...back on the subject that we spoke about in regards to Halloween (the movies). What do you think about the actor Ken Foree? I also like Jeffrey Combs and Sid Haig, respectively. They were into a lot of weird, Sci-fi stuff. Idk

Posted by Butterface89 on Aug 31, 10 8:25 am

I'm looking forward to seeing them :)!
& I've just been busy babysitting my baby brothers - not fun :( haha.
Not a lot has been happening with me really, just keeping myself busy :D how about you?

Posted by SlowDanceForever on Aug 31, 10 7:55 am

Awww, thank you. That means a lot to hear that. I've been trying to do better with my graphics and where have YOU been, little lady? Hee hee, I'm just teasing; that's 'your' business:] But seriously, I have a dozen more graphics and a couple of layouts still awaiting review so we shall see what happens. 2 or 3 pieces may make it in.
P.S. What's been shakin'? xoxo

Yay, you're new graphics are amazing! :)

Hi there! Thanks so much for the comment^_^! I like the Hellraiser franchise a LOT. I always have. And I LOVE Clive Barker's books (he's the writer of the novel H is based on...I didn't know if you knew who he was). I also liked the SAW franchise and basically 'anything' to do with horror.

Oh wait, I think you DO know about Hellraiser because you said you liked horror, too:p There's a film I saw recently called 'Dread' and it had that guy Jackson Rathbone in it (Jasper from Twilight, or of course! Ha ha). It was more of a horror/thriller film and it was pretty good! It had a story that I got into. Plus many people told me I should see it. I also saw a film called 'Seed' that was pretty good horror. People also told me to see it. And of course my favorite lately has been The Murder Meat Train, which I loved! It was a bit weird but interesting storyline and blood in it. Weird.

Yesterday I finally saw 'One Missed Call' and it also had a kind of original storyline. There were some scares in it.

OH! But one film I loved was called 'An American Crime' with Ellen Page, James Franco, and Catherine Keener in ti & it's based on this true story from the 60's about this girl who's parents work in a carnival and had to travel, so they left their 2 daughters with this lady they barely knew. And the woman locked the girl in the basement and invited all the kids from the neighborhood to come over and beat her everyday until she died. The girl's name was Sylvia Likens. It was wild. But it was more of a drama then an actual horror film, even though it WAS horrible.

What about you? Any good films lately? xoxo

I really enjoyed New Moon, although it did seem to go on for a little bit longer than I had predicted, but it wasn't too much of a 'drag' so I still enjoyed it (:

Oh man, I agree. I like Sheri Moon as an actress, but those scenes were SO unnecessary in my eyes also. I think the first Halloween from Rob had a good story line, but I think the acting was better in Halloween 2 from Rob. Well from what I can remember anyway.
Yeah, Ken Foree was in the first one from what I recall but I could be wrong.

What other movies do you like?

Posted by SlowDanceForever on Aug 25, 10 12:01 pm

Awww, you are too sweet. Yes, I do enjoy doing the Twilight graphics. I liked the original book. New Moon was just....for me...I wanted to get back to Edward, ect. But to each his own. Most people liked New Moon so I'm in the minority, which is fine:p But yes, in regards to the Halloween. Um...I think Zombie needs to stop. Right now. His Rejects stuff was better (to me) then what he's doing now with H. And more importantly, I wonder WHY he is so into making these??? It's like he's obsessed or something. Idk.

Okay, now I know who you're talking about. She was a good actress in the H2 remake that I saw, but that movie...that was just kind of a mess (for me)- the mother coming back dressed in white with a white horse. What 'was' that? And frankly, I think he just through that in there so he give his wife a another part in the film. The part wasn't needed and didn't add to the film IMO.

Don't get me wrong, i LOVED her in the House of 1000 & especially REJECTS. I knew she was married to Zombie but she was still awesome in her roles. But this? Wth?

What do you think?
I loved seeing Ken Foree in REJECTS and then in H (or was it H2? I forget.( Sigh)

Scout-Taylor Compton played Laurie Strode in Rob Zombies remake of Halloween, and she also played her in the sequel 'Halloween 2'. I think she done a great performance, but yes I totally agree with the whole Halloween franchise thing. There seems to far too many, won't be long before there's a Halloween 244! Haha, okay maybe not that far but it sure seems like it.
Oh yes, do you mean when he said to Dr. Loomis 'DIE!' before stabbing him, that was quite surreal.
I also have to agree with you on The Devil's Rejects, that has to be one of my favourite films! I enjoyed every minute of it :D

I watched a couple of episodes of The Vampire Diaries, and swore to myself that I would continue watching it, but just like True Blood, I forgot to catch up and now i'm so far behind!
I can't wait to see your Twilight related submissions, I am like most of the population, Twilight obsessed haha!

Posted by SlowDanceForever on Aug 23, 10 5:44 pm

Hi! Wait, who is Scout-Taylor Compton? Halloween sequels?? You know what, there have been so many remakes and things from the franchise that I'm starting to get confused:=( I remember that boy Haeg-Something from the original Halloween remake from Rob Zombie. He played young Michael, And then I thought I saw part 2. Is there a 3rd in the series now...from Zombie? And damn, I wonder how many of these 'sequels' he plans on making oO. I mean, I REALLY love his work-especially the Devils Rejects stuff! I REALLY got into that. I really loved Sid Haeg in that as the clown. But it's kind of weird that he's doing these films because they are originally John Carpenter's stuff.

It's like his career has taken the turn to where he's starting to slowly make a 'career' off of Carpenter's stuff. I know that sounds harsh and unfair but....I just like for people to come up with their own original ideas and not regurgitate other people's work ALL the time, you know? I mean, I still respect Zombie a lot. I wish he would write some other fresh material. Halloween is kinda played out. PLUS, this man actually had Michale Myers SPEAK in the last film I saw! THIRTY YEARS and Michael has never uttered a word...until Zombie got ahold of the franchise and re-wrote the w ill. What do you think about that?

P.S. I did some Vampire Diaries banners and graphics and just some regular vampire stuff that's all awaiting the submissions process. I'm working on another Twilight right now and I'm nearly done. I think it's my last for this batch and that'll be 30 altogether. I've got to stop this nonsense. Ha ha!

Aww thankyou it means a lot!
& yeah it does seem a bit early to submit anything Halloween-ish, I might start submitting mid September time if the reviewing system is still going slow.
Maybe you could post something True Blood / Twilight related, as a Halloween theme.
Or maybe something from Halloween type films, they might slip them through as it's a movie theme and not Halloween? I'm not sure haha.
I look forward to seeing more of your submissions, I am intrigued by what else you will come up with! :)
I love vampires hehe, to be honest, I love most things gorey, and gruesome.
I'm currently re-obsessed with Scout-Taylor Compton who stars in the recent remakes of Halloween and the sequel H2 haha, I was besotted with her around 2 years ago and that obsession has recently bounced back into my life haha!

How about you?
